Merrell Origins and Salt, Fresh & Field

Salt Freshfield

Not long ago, we received a tweet that read:

Today at @MerrellOrigins: I Have a Dream. A heat-riddled, food adventure Dream. @chadbrealey is the guide.

We wandered over to the Merrell Blog and found a wonderfully written piece about our Salt, Fresh & Field.

The Merrell Blog

This sparked some conversations with the fine folks at Merrell and we are looking forward to seeing what develops. Needless to say, their Merrell Origins line is very nicely put together and their site is equally well designed and executed:

Merrell Origins

I particularly like The Wilderness boot.

I may even have an original pair of these in amongst my gear...

We're setting up for the fall season and preparing to sight in rifles, trying to remember which eye we shoot from with a shotgun and warning the 8wt fly rod that there will be coho and chum in its future.

September used to feel like the beginning of a long sentence of rain, wind and impending frost. I now revel in these same conditions and can't wait to push through the marsh, scan the plateaus and watch for nervous water. The season is about to change and I have no problem changing with it.
